I bought my first new pair of these from a supervisor at work for 50.00!! He had been a welder and no longer had use for such a heavy duty boot. I work in Machine Repair, and most boots won't hold up for even a year in the kind of abuse my footwear receives in my 12 hour daily grind. These boots have lasted over 2 years for me! -and they are not even completely worn out! -The insoles are now quite hard, and there is no room for inserts. I take a wider boot and bought these mediums on a deal of a lifetime! They did fit me perfectly without an insert tho! They feel like driving a Cadillac feels! -And over 2 years of use is unheard of these days of cheap garbage that you dispose of after 3 months. I'm actually a LOT of money ahead by buying my second pair of these! My only concern is -there's a tag in my old ones: Made in the USA.. The new ones I am seeing -are made in Viet Nam. Here's hoping that Carolina quality didn't give way to corporate greed. (like that other rw shoe c

i bought a pair of these a year ago from a local retailer. I have tried other brands and none of them has held up for more that six months without the Met Guard tearing off. I wear these about 16 hours a day and they are still holding together. They are lighter and more durable that any other Met Guard out there. I have been wearing Met Guard boots for 15 years and I have never had any of them last more than a year. I see at least another year out of these. Best Met Guard boot on the market. Worth every penny I spent on these boots. The only thing I have to replace is the eyelets from normal wear and tear by the strings. Also the best fitting and most comfortable boots I have worn. I have never seen a more dependable durable boot than these. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a work boot. I can't say enough about the quality of these boots.

The best boots I ever had. Perfect steel toe protection, good insulation inside.
