Love these boots, bought these mine 4 years ago and still could've kept wearing them if they didn't look so scruffy and worn on the bottom from walking every day for 5 years on ballmatted floors. They are very durable and comfortable for being steel toes. I'm getting these same ones again.

Bought a pair of these boots at the beginning of summertime. Everything seemed to be great, the fit and comfort was decent at first . However,4months after I had purchased them, I began to notice how my feet and knees hurt when I got home. And after 10-12 hour work days my feet would be burning up. This became worse as time went on. In desperate need, I went to a local red wing show store. While I was there I had found the true welt 2.0 style 608. It is far better in quality, and unimaginably more comfortable. EVEN AFTER 12 hours! I would not recommend this product. I would strap bricks to my feet rather than going back to these Carolina’s.

This was a daily wear boot for about 10 months. I work in the construction industry, but do not perform hands on work. For this reason, it surprised me the poor quality of these boots. The boots were very comfortable and easy to break in. The fit was great. But after about 9 months, a seam in the left heel broke open, leaving about a 2 inch gap exposed through the leather to the lining of the boot. After only 9 months of normal use, this seemed like an understandable manufacturer's defect. I contacted Carolina's customer service and included photos of the boots. They deemed that this was "normal wear and tear" to be expected from the boots. Since then, I've graduated to Red Wings. These are decent boots, but not for the long haul.

Great boots. I run a small landscaping company and work hands on all the time with my crew year round. I wear the uninsulated steel toe version in the spring and summer and while it is warm out when we cut grass and stuff, then switch to my insulated pair of these boots with steel toe in the fall and winter for fall cleanup and snow removal. Great boots overall, the insulation is amazing as I did a 8 hour plowing shift with my crew and we use tractors so we are outside in the elements and my feet didn't get cold or wet at all, even though it was 15 degrees and snowing. I would recommend these boots to anyone who wants a good and reliable pair of work boots. The insulation does get very hot and sweaty in the summertime and when it goes above 70 degrees so just be mindful of that when you buy these.

I have tried different boots in the past but Carolina's are by far the best brand to get in my opinion.
